Well, with graduation coming up, I have nothing but party after party to cook for. Here are some Instagram pictures of some simple Fruit Tarts we made today. The base is your basic tart shell filled with pastry cream and then garnished with various fruit & berries. We used blueberries, black berries, mandarin oranges, raspberries, & kiwi. When then glazed the tops with apricot glace. That seals in the freshness, preserves the color, and gives it a little shiny bling! If you want to make them at home and don't have access to apricot glace, just get some apricot jam and heat it up. It's the same thing!
This is the Full Platter we made. 40 Individual Fruit Tarts with a little Fruit Bouquet.
And of course, leaving nothing to waste...we packaged up the rest and put them out for sale in our cafe. Note: These to-go containers are made from potato starch and are 100% biodegradable! How cool is that? I love earthware!
